Brighton - Singing Section

Moved over from L1 to try it out last night and I enjoyed it. 

 

What did everyone think? Quite liked that there was noise coming from either side of the away end.

Really worked for me.

Had a top night in there,

Absolute scenes when our 2nd went in. 

Not sure how it came across from other parts of the ground but for me and my son it really worked having us in M block and L1 surrounding the visiting fans.

 

All in all it's a big yes for more of the above.

Moved from sk4 to h block for this game and could hear you pretty well from there. V quiet in h (and i know sk4 is like a library at times!).

 

Looked like you lot had a great time. Liked the banner of the cup wins.

It felt more of a standing section than a singing section. 

I did expect more from more people, but I do understand people aren't up for this kind of fixture. 

It was a positive step though

I was at the back on P1 and people were either joining in or clapping along. 

 

The atmosphere was far superior than what you would have expected for that sort of game and the quite poor football performance.

I was in there too and I'm normally in K1 but I wanted to give this ago. It looked like everyone had a great time!

 

Dewsbury Hall and Patson Daka chants were brilliant and there was noise all game. Well done to everyone involved and of course @Union FS

Thought it worked really well, and it sounded great from A block. Still can't figure out the words to the Maddison and Iheanacho songs though.

Hope it becomes a regular feature (in some part of the ground) at cup games going forward and eventually filters into league matches.

I wasn't in that part of the ground, but it definitely help the atmosphere.

 

Would like to give it a try next time around.

SK1 was significantly quieter 🤣

 

Infact, it happened a fair few times that the chants from the “singing section” were then backed up from the Kop from what I could tell. First time I think I’ve been able to hear that side of the ground from SK1, looked and sounded decent.

 

Only very minor concern was when some of the guys started to move towards the away fans at one point (only singing and taunting mind, nothing violent), but I can well imagine how the club might interpret that in terms of how they consider taking things forward, we’re a family club dontcha know!

Everyone was booing him as he was allegedly arrested for a sexual assault a few days ago.

Get them moved over there permanently! I know it’s normally the away end but they should get first option on every game to move there when the away team doesn’t sell out?

Really enjoyed it. Wouldn’t have bothered normally but something like that made me want to go. Would be up for moving there if it was allowed.

To anyone who enjoyed it last night and would like to see it again, make your thoughts known to the club! If they ignore us, they ignore us but there's certainly no harm in trying.

Always a good time getting involved with stuff like this. Makes what would normally be a dull 90 minutes pretty fun.

Good fun and just makes sense. Don't see what would stop the club from accommodating this long term. Let's hope this is a forward step

I would say about 450 actively in the 'section'. first 7-8 rows were just normal family stand occupants i believe.
