Why not just try something different? At least if we saw men on posts or man to man marking, we'd know something different has been worked on.

What on earth is the point in persisting in something that has been proven to fail miserably?

Because it's too comfortable. Rodgers gets no criticism from anyone outside the club- the fans boo and we're the problem.

Just now, Walkers said:

It's got to be a tiny bit of a mental thing now as well just pure inability to deal with them lol

You'd think they'd be determined not to concede from them though. I don't see any determination.

We have a combination of a shit zonal system, nobody reacting to the ball coming in, no aggression to get to the ball first, a keeper that has his feet glued to his line and no ****er on the back post. Once or twice you can forgive but when you're talking about double figures then it's nothing short of negligence

Schmeichel.

He never comes for any cross. Our defence is shaky, but when the keeper behind them will never leave his line for a cross, it makes it more difficult for them.

Compare him with the Villa keeper claiming the ball on the edge of his 6 yard box.

He's our captain. A leader. He can't even organise the defence. When he is so flawed defending crosses, would anyone listen to him anyway?

He is a strong character. A leader "in the group",  but he is not dominating his own area.

He's alluded to wanting to play more Champions league. Surely a call for a transfer in the summer?

I think he knows he's near the end?  I think we need a change to progress.

Of course he's been  brilliant for us for many years. We all know that. But his strong leadership and influence in the squad now appears to be holding us back.

dont worry we have a set piece coach............

right ok Brendan, you cant count yourself as it you know

You'd think Toure would be half decent, what's he do down there, sat with his thumb up his arse? Get rid, save his wages to get another coach with some defensive nous! Shouldn't the goalkeeping coach be giving Schmeichel some schooling on crosses ie tell him he doesn't need an invite to come of his line and can use his hands, in fact that would have been helpful advice years ago. If he's not comfortable, practice until he is, no-one's untouchable.

And this will be Rodgers’ downfall. His inflexibility and inability to adapt to the situation he is facing.
