This kind of performance has been the same for months now. Man Utd glossed over the cracks. 

I don't know why some of thought it would suddenly change against a very good Chelsea side.

What is he, though?  He's no good on the ball and not creative, so he's not an attacking mid.  He's not especially strong defensively, so is he really a holding mid?  And he doesn't run enough to be box to box.
