Are you watching a different game to the rest of us? I don't want to bash any player, but Bertrand has been at fault for both goals - the first because he didn't track back at all, and the second because he played their entire front line onside, and had the audacity to claim for offside. There's no reason to do that with VAR in place. Try to stop the attacker, worry about offsides later. Söyüncü has been poor too.

Just look a both goals… Bertrand walking back for the first one where he could have ran back and blocked it, for the second he’s not paying attention to the defensive line and plays the Napoli scorer onside, it’s the basics, just no effort or commitment

I thought he looked much fitter, but he played the second goal onside. I think it will take more than that performanceto turn the prevailing narrative, but he was ok apart from the goal.

 

He even overlapped Barnes on the break at one point, which means his legs are not completely gone. Whatever your view on the wisdom of his signing, the club needs him to do better.
