Atmosphere at the KP

Recommended Posts

I was shocked by the Everton fans, they were even still going during half time. I can’t recall them ever being noticeably good away fans before. Also they probably have the worst home atmosphere in the league.

Got to give it to the Everton fans, they were good. Had a litlle spell of being quiet after our equaliser and near the end when they got a bit edgy as we applied some pressure but overall very loud and importantly, in unison. Also noticed that pretty much every single Everton supporter stood up.

Any compliments to the admittedly loud Everton fans is automatically cancelled entirely due to that very high pitched, very camp OOOOOOH emitted at the end of the chant. Wtf was that about, truly embarrassing.

I thought it sounded quite good lol especially as they then started the chant again straight after, but even louder each time.

It's part of one of their club songs 'Spirit of the Blues'. It's a belting football tune to be fair.

Nah I’m not having that falsetto Kenneth Williams inspired ooooh (matron!) at the end. Embarrassing.

The only embarrassing bit was that 3000 away fans in a corner out sung the entire ground all game and for a good time after final whistle, even with groups of fans who want to start songs and bang drums.

Fair play to the toffees, they came, made a lot of noise and left with 3 points.

So they should for a so called massive club just about avoiding relegation!

If you cant make noise for your team in that predicament  you may as well shut up shop.

BUT please let's not start a w@nk fest over Everton fans FFS

They were reacting to their team beating us. If they were 3-0 down they would’ve shut up and left early. Our fans were quiet because we were being beaten by a team that couldn’t buy a win away from home this season and because it was pretty clear most of our players really didn’t give a shit. At home, when fans are spread over a whole stadium and not collected into a very small section it’s very much reliant on the team to create the atmosphere. We don’t have some bloke on a tannoy orchestrating a collective chant like they do in many parts of Europe. If the team show some fight, the crowd always get involved.

Maybe because it was an away end with a lower % of regulars but Hey Jude was about the only song in Rome that consistently got going. It’s one we do very well tbf

Because our fans don’t have to string together more than 3 words

Norwich fans, fair play, had a good time. Enjoyed the Tequila song, that was one I thought off for Fofana but couldn't see it work. However, I liked the way Norwich did it. Quite unique.

Also enjoyed the sarcastic cheers when we cleared a corner!

Otherwise usual dross bar the same people.

We’ve had worse atmospheres than that this season.

Get the clappers ****ed off and standing/singing areas in asap and make home games enjoyable again irrespective of what’s happening on the pitch.

I so hope they do this, so badly.
