Atmosphere at the KP

You genuinely think a drum is more embarrassing than clappers?

What's more embarrassing is that I didn't even realise there was a drum in the ground, couldn't hear one, never mind two. Atmosphere is generally poor, Forest was good for obvious reasons but it used to be closer to that level every week, very rarely get that nowadays. Sadly...

Amazon prime comms were going on about the glorious Leeds support yet all I could hear was city chants?

the only time you heard them on telly is “what the ****ing hell is going on?” Also don’t know what they expect.

Tv made our end sound good. Anyone got any videos of limbs for the goals from the stands?

They sang their usual WACCOE song a few times. 2nd half from then was absolutely dead if TV was anything to go by. Their boos at HT were loud, as was the chant at full time from their fans.

TV made our fans sound good because the gantry has L1 on one end and Union FS singing section on the other.

Best bit was Shearer saying how good their fans were, then camera panned to them and they were all just watching, glum-faced, no singing or anything lol

Didn’t hear any chanting or shouting against Rodgers at all.

Do people on here  who want him out actually go to games ?

I don't think people want to start Rodgers out chants whilst the game is going on, especially when we are winning. Most want to support the team and encourage our players during game time. It would only change if we go behind and show the clueless, effortless, disorganised rubbish that marked earlier games. The last three home games have seen us pick up 7 out of 9 points with no goals conceded. That's not going to provoke any kind of protest.

The stewarding situation in SK1 hasn't gone unnoticed among away fans either...

Quote

Just this weekend on our away day at Leicester, their most vocal home section was swamped by stewards targeting them for standing – and there are countless stories like this every weekend.

Compared to how the atmosphere used to be, it's getting better.

It will never be a cauldron, but you know it's getting better when the West Stand is getting livelier. It used to be a library.

There were even stewards surrounding the Vichai statue outside the ground. Do they seriously think we are that angry with what is going on that we would be vandalising or pulling down a statue?

The club management fears anything that isn't completely within their control and that goes back probably as far as the move to the current ground. Because they make no attempt to understand supporter culture, they make odd moves like this because they don't know what supporters will do if they're not happy with the way the club is being run on or off the pitch. If you're not clearing off immediately after the game (or in a lot of cases, by the 85th minute) or being funnelled into the City Megastore then you're a dangerous outlier in their minds.

I can see people turning on Top for the way he's running the club/business and the situation we've found ourselves in for quite some time but Vichai and Top's stewardship are separate entities, the one thing we share and respect is the family relationship and everything Vichai did.
