99% of our chants come from European ultras to be fair.

it’s a poor excuse saying “it’s not going to work here” well it has to start somewhere.

...we don't have the mindset for this!!!

It really is a way of being part of something, it is not a British thing, it is not predominantly about football it is much more of a tribal thing.

Its pretty popular in Scotland with lots of clubs having groups, Ireland too, its really just England where the Ultra thing hasn't happened.

If it weren't for continental tunes it'd just be Sloop John B on repeat every week. Oh hang on...

Dunno mate I look forward to a half arsed version of Leicester, Leicester, Leicester every week.

Ok it's definitely a Leicester thing 😆

Think we'll have a good atmosphere on Saturday- singing section plus we'll probably have a lot of different faces compared to the league games

Unfortunately what you will have is a few 100 having a great time and several 1000 looking at you because they think you are ultras or sticking a head through a tifo, kicking off on foxes talk because they could see the players shake hands.

It seems you really are dammed if you do dammed if you don't.

Only way our fanbase gets better is if they bang save standing in the kop and stick all the over 80s in the new Upper tier.

Going on the last one I saw (Wigan two years ago), the singing section was there and more people joined in. I'd say the regulars are a bigger issue in terms of creating atmosphere.

That's partly my point. But the section was still mainly UFS members and worked well. And that's other point. Unless we get standing and section that allows a section to grown then it will never work. Because to many want to sot and complain or take the piss.

When you say here do you mean leicester?

Because, about 80% of PL fan bases use chants that started some where on the continent.

maybe so but most of them have simple tunes sung loudly the Union FS lot seem to to pick the most complex tune they can then mumble the lyrics and moan that others don't join in.

The chant for KDH makes it as obvious as it can be, pick a well know tune keep the lyrics simple and easy and it will get heard and repeated

It’s funny because people don’t join in with things like ‘You are my Leicester’ most weeks, forget anything else.

Its not a case of not knowing the words, it’s more that people just can’t be arsed half the time.

The Liverpool game was encouraging though, hopefully it wasn’t just a one off.

....in the Liverpool game there was a moment which galvanised the crowd (the penalty save)!!!

At that moment we made it them against us, and it worked for us staying in the game and giving a good account of ourselves. This club thrives on adversity, them against us has always been a "driver" for us, and being around the top teams and attempting to emulate them just does not fit with who or what we are.

On the pitch we are a team attempting to transition to a different style, off the pitch we are a fan base who relishes being an underdog. We are also a team that is a counter attacking beast, the supporters feed off this, we are just confused in what we see on the pitch, until what happens on the pitch is aligned with our fan base we are going to have to continue with this atmosphere.

It's our official homecoming as FA Cup Holders :scarf:

Let's be loud, proud and ready to defend our crown. No matter who we put out on the pitch.

Claudio will deservedly get a warm welcome but come kick-off, it's down to business

This is correct.

It's is still pathetic and our supporters need to put their big boy pants on and get with the times rather than wanting to be in a situation where we are always an under dog.

Times change, the Leicester season ticket holders haven't.

They’ll be needing to install a few Lifts for all those over 80’s Bay can’t see most of the older brigade climb those stairs !

Can’t really criticise chants as too European when the two chants what dominate English football grounds currently are some of the most inane, non original guff going

Also the 'Allez, Allez, Allez' song which dominated English football grounds for a significant amount of time originated from where? You guessed it, European ultras.

I am actually very glad that it was never sung at Leicester, mind.

Those of us who want a good atmosphere don't ask for anything more than constant effort from the fans. Just try ffs. Same as with the players. No one's expecting an atmosphere with flares and all that, just support for the team. Make noise, simple as that. We all want leicester to win right?? Especially when we go a goal behind, or things get tough with constant pressure from the other team we need to make noise.  I guarantee we won against Liverpool because of our fan support at the end.... Sigh shouldn't even be a discussion this

Please don't get me wrong, because I agree with every other word you said.... but the bolded bit cannot be guaranteed.
