No.

The club has existed since 1884 and has only played below the second tier once.

You are deluded if you think the owners "rescued us". We are the middle of the road up and down club we have always been.

...there is absolutely no mention in my post that the owners recued us, no hint or alluding to that premise!!!

Look at Coventry, forever in the highest tier and then it all fell apart, Forest (now looking better) but were flirting with league 1, Sunderland, Derby, we also ended up in league 1 for the very first time, went into administration and bailed out by ex-players who never got their money back.

It is only by luck we managed to get ourselves into this situation, it could easily had been anyone else, the only person who appear to be deluded is you and perception of what the present owners given us.

NottsF did more than flirt with League 1.

Define rescue - it's often forgotten that we weren't very far from the Premier League at all when they bought us.

Fact is if there is genuinely enough opposition the club will listen. Its reliant and answerable to its customer base.

I see a lot of people on here who either don't go to games and watch on TV or who claim to not bother going anymore because the atmosphere is so bad.

If people are serious and there is genuinely enough opposition to it, may I suggest doing something coordinated rather than just moaning on a forum or writing an angry letter to Jim. A petition or something to gauge genuine dissatisfaction?

Think it will just keep coming best to this.

We have thread upon thread upon thread about this. But until a person or group takes leadership of this and drives an actual show of annoyance we won't get anywhere.

Rn it looks like the odd person emailing Jim, which clearly isn't working.

I doubt anything will happen given few will be able to agree what they actually want to happen, and many just want to moan.

The PSV update came out on Tuesday, it's now Friday and we have nothing more than a UFS statement. If people wanted it enough we'd have a group email/petition sent to those emails of importance in the other pages.

Rather than endlessly talking about singing sections, griping about other fans, goal music, clappers, etc (all of which I really do agree with), I don’t see why union FS, or even, just, like, us, can’t produce an updated songbook, put it somewhere obvious online, and put together a one sheet paper version to circulate at a few games. I’d happily help with this, financially and/or logistically, and I’m sure it would prompt a lot of fans, especially newer fans, to get singing.

Be nice to have one on every seat if the club ever got interested, but failing that, handing them out like the scarf sellers on the street would be easy enough.

Genuinely think if union fs were a little more transparent with the wider fan base they'd generate a little more support.

Why don't they put the 20 page document they produced on their website for example? List the number of members? Who they are, etc? Talk to radio leicester and the Mercury etc...

Demonstrating weight if opinion is super important.

The only way to get total transparency from the club is to be transparent.

Because the way the club are is they would pull up the drawbridge in an instant.
Believe me I wish the group could as it would help John Smith etc possibly understand the cause more. However the set up we have to deal with would hate that.

No doubting what the owners have done imo but it doesn’t stop there. Rightly or wrongly since Vichais passing there has been a different feel to the club. Make of that what you may

Wouldn't have anything to do with the pandemic and two years of no fans in stadiums would it?

Very hard to prove or disprove what you've just said but as I've said before if you can demonstrate genuine weight of opinion from a large group of supporters the club simply have to listen. Currently they can just dismiss you as a vocal minority.

Unfortunately the club will always view with suspicion an organisation which feels the need to blur out it members face on photos and has photos of what a lot of people would view as anti-social behaviour on their site, graffiti, stickers on public and private property.

They have to stop thinking they are dealing with just a football club and realise they are dealing with business organisation.

This is not an attack UFS before anyone goes on the defensive, just a view.

All of that just because a group of fans want to go down the City and sing their hearts out for the lads? It shouldn't have to be this way.

I mean it’s not asking much there. Putting yourself in the eyes of a few fans on your website and on local radio, not exactly a severe hardship. You should see what I have to go through to get the council to fix a pothole. That definitely shouldn’t have to be that way.

With respect years and years of work have gone into getting these types of sections. The group has outlasted some LCFC staff who placed many a roadblock and continue to face new ones.

Where we are now with them

is far from ideal however its a dam site better than previous years. We have green shoots of relocation and sections were taking pace.

I wish we could be more open but sadly we are dealing with an aspect of the club which flex power and control. Small example we have to request every single game that the drum and banner is allowed in. Every single game for nearly 9 years. Once this is granted names have to go to club and searches on entry. These individuals are usually escorted by a steward and watched over for the duration.

No lenience is afforded.
Many on here saying they want to know more, the group already has has wording from the club staff saying in their eyes it tells too much.

Now is not the time to be potentially having them cut our tools.

Where I feel action can be done is emails to the appropriate members of staff. Its clear to me the club weigh complaints far and above praise. Because of this they need to see more praise. I get in life you are far more likely to write a complaint not praise but if non affiliated names flooded them I do think that can only help.

Top, not a chance. He is well away from day to day like that. Only been to a handful of games this season and has his countrymen attempting to smash up King Power offices.

I take your points.

What do you mean about smashing up the offices? 😂

The definition of madness is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Your only way forward is to garner more support and develop weight of opinion. They'll keep ignoring you if you keep doing the same things.

I'm genuinely curious about what's not being said and what either side has to hide? Could be it the club think you say too much because the tone of comms when you don't get what you want is to kick off in public? Could it be that that they own the club and think comments such as 'filbert way' are unhelpful and the phrasing is often confrontational?

You've got to prove you're not a vocal minority.

The club often refer to Filbert Way on their twitter feed.
