And when you're over 70....still in good health and Leicester reach the Champions League Final for the first time in your life and you are offered a ticket you're gonna be happy to just pass it over to someone else?

No I will just steal my son's ticket.

Just now, Sol thewall Bamba said:

Explain Rennes then.

Singing section to get it started and a first half goal :dunno:

I thought the first half sounded decent on the telly but it just died a death in the second half both on and off the pitch.

I was sat in the Family Stand - PSV fans certainly made good noise all night - couldn’t fault them really.

Like I said you could certainly see them but I guess it proves the theory that the sound doesn't really travel well at the KP at all.

Finding it odd people are saying PSV fans were shit, looked like they didn’t stop for 90 minutes and it looks so good when the whole end are going for it in unison too.

Knew this would be shit from us as soon as it was announced there was no singing section. Club don’t want a hostile atmosphere.

I dont think they were necessarily shit, just their songbook was so bland. Just the same style song to the same style beat over and over. Got boring quite quickly

Can we steal this chant? It looks like fun. I've had a Dutch friend supply the lyrics:

*"Succes is niet alles in het leven....
De liefde gaat verder dan dat....
Dus zullen wij altijd alles geven....
Voor de kleuren de club en de stad...."*

Its about how success isn't everything and how they'll love the club whatever.

Get practising for Sunday - I want to hear the West Stand belting it out and bouncing.

Impressive choreography but hardly inspiring song. Dull with a capital D.

Zzzzzzzzzz.

We have the most varied songbook in England do we?

It is one of half a dozen generic English songs or it’s a group of fanscoming up with something new for one or two games that no one can understand the words to, then it gets dropped and never heard again.

At least we don’t do the ‘we love you,we love you’ crap anymore.

Furthermore one or 2 saying you couldn’t hear PSV in SK1, it must be how the stadiums designed as they were loud and clear in SK2.

Personally feel that sk1 was decent and there was no real gaps between songs/effort.

But clearly that goes un noticed in other areas. For all that it looked like PSV were going at it. You couldn't really hear them down the kpp end either. Be interesting to see how they are next week, having been to PSV I think as happens here they may not be all that at home either.

...they were going at it an hour or so before the game started!!!

They were in party mood long before any City supporter came into the ground.

Alright pissy pants, no need to get all defensive.

Didn't compare it to our songbook did I? No doubting they were loud, just very repetitive .

We couldn’t do this even if we tried. Our fans lack the ability to stay in time. Every single chant speeds up and gets to a point whereby you’d have to be Stormzy to keep up. By that time people give up and it dies out.

On a separate note, I thought the atmosphere was good last night. There were spells when it died down but in the whole I thought it was pretty up there.

“You’re shit arghhh.” Classic!

I had 2 Dutch lads with me they loved that.

And my Southend supporting mate found the timmy song amusing for some reason.

To be fair it is subjective. Depending on where you sit down there, I have a mate who sits further down the west stand and said it was awful. Then us in Sk1 thought it was half decent.

As many have said, the opinions on atmosphere are really dependant on where you are in the stadium. SK1 was decent last night, couldn’t really hear the PSV fans much but that’s not unusual when you’re in an area that’s making some noise.

I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again, can’t understand for the life of me why our social media are hyping the game up as only our 2nd ever European QF game yet the club didn’t feel the need to mark the occasion with some kind of display, a club tifo, flags (like Atletico) …. Anything!! It genuinely feels like the club can’t be arsed with the competition!

A fair point. I was in l1 and apart from ‘we’re on our way’ 2nd half, nothing really got going. The split in singing fans really effects the stadium
