Hamilton fans: "This is boring just one guy winning all the time. We should change the rules to make it closer. It's not fair that Max has such a big advantage"

lollollol You're a **** then if you celebrated any of Hamilton's wins from 2014-2020.

Russell pulling his pants down in the championship. de Vries waiting in the wings. Time to retire.

Meanwhile, Red Bull are insane and Ferrari (again, unfortunately) couldn't sustain a challenge. The way it's looking Max is gonna rip up all of Hamilton's records by the time he's 30. But with more races added all the time, the guy who starts F1 in 2030 will in turn beat all those records anyway.

This system with penalties is a bit daft at the moment. Quali is pretty much unwatchable if the next day's grid is completely different lol

Sad to see Seb leaving but it's definitely the right time. Past his best and not looking like he'll ever regain his peak form. Ricciardo too - there's no way back to the top, so call it a day and let's have some more of these youngsters coming in.

I recall saying George would do well this season, and got put down by someone I cant remember claiming he'll be Hamilton's bitch. He's been superb this year and so consistent, he just needs the car under him and he'll be challenging for world titles

Russell and De Vries will be a good partnership of the future.

Further to Alex Albon’s diagnosis of appendicitis on the morning of Saturday 10 September, he was admitted to San Gerardo hospital for treatment. He underwent a successful laparoscopic surgery on Saturday lunchtime.

Following surgery, Alex suffered with unexpected post-operative anaesthetic complications which led to respiratory failure, a known but uncommon complication. He was re-intubated and transferred to intensive care for support.

He made excellent progress overnight and was able to be removed from mechanical ventilation yesterday morning. He has now been transferred to a general ward and is expected to return home tomorrow. There were no other complications.

Alex’s full focus is on recovery and preparation ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix later this month.

Alex would like to thank the excellent care and support he has received, including from the nursing, anaesthetic and ICU teams at Osperdale San Gerardo – ASST Monza, the FIA medical team, his Performance Coach Patrick Harding, the Williams Racing team and Dr Luke Bennett from HINTSA Performance.

Damn, sounds awful but glad all is well.  I've had appendicitis and it is rough.

Bet you've been counting down the days for that moment so you could come on here and write another pop at Hamilton.  Rent-free again.  Odd.

No doubt you'll be back again when Russell is confirmed as finishing above Hamilton this year.

He won't be retiring this season though, since Mercedes have stopped experimenting so much he's been the quicker driver in race trim.  As long as it stays that way he'll be sticking around.

I'm sure they'll still sell out due to the rise in popularity of the sport but Silverstone sure have done a lot of damage to their reputation with their loyal, long term fans this week with their disgusting dynamic pricing

Too right! Luckily one of my mates got the membership and we secured tickets at 219 each. Another mate that didn't get the membership ended up paying nearly 300 quid for his ticket.

Ridiculous, we will be going to a different race next year and we've done Silverstone most of the last 8 years (covid aside).

I think De Vries will take alpha tauri seat with Gasly going to Alpine. That would be the best long term move for him with there being no red bull juniors coming through and with tsunoda not really doing much to show he is worthy of a seat next to max. If he does well there he could put himself in the mix to replace Perez at the top team.
