Nah.  The >5s gap will do it's job, I expect, there.  Good race that one, overall, but especially for Perez and McLaren.

Probably waiting to see how much Red Bull win the championships by then deduct points but still make sure they come first.

Sounds like Ocon was keen on Schumacher joining but obviously he isn’t the boss and makes sense for Gasly to join .

 

From BBC:

“Esteban Ocon said openly he wanted Haas driver Mick Schumacher to join him at Alpine next year but boss Otmar Szafnauer said the team had discussed the plan with Ocon before committing to Gasly”

 

Szafnauer said: "Esteban was very supportive, Pierre as well. They're professionals. And they have no issue we're working together. And hopefully the friendship will rekindle - they were friends at one point. But from a professional perspective, they're both very happy to work with each other."

Hopefully for Alpine’s sake they do get along ( Ocon has  tweeted a welcome to Gasly tbf )
