The tractor was already on the track before the red flag as the safety car went pass with the train of cars behind, Gasly was trying to catch the back of the train so was going much quicker, the red flag came out just before Gasly arrived where the tractor was

Well that just sums up Ferrari and Le Clerc's season. I mean he was never going to catch Verstappen in the title race, but the chance to extend the battle for another race, and Le Clerc screws up the final corner the hand it to Verstappen. I'm sure he'd have won the title anyway, but Ferrari and Le Clerc have made it much easier than it needed to be this season.

almost all journos on twitter saying it’s going to next week due to us not getting 75% or more of the race. i’m so confused. this is too much for a sunday morning

Would sum up the FIA after they've announced it, put big screens up declaring him champion. Would be typical FIA to be wrong lol

Ah the FIA:

Don't understand their own points system and can't add up

Don't understand their own racing rules

Don't understand racing in Japan during typhoon season is unwise

Scared to punish RB for cost cap so defer it FOUR times

Threaten to scrap Spa for further US races.

F1 is a joke.

Seriously, wtf  ? Is he champion or not. What a mess.

He is champion because full points was awarded because the race finished naturally (I.E full laps or time limit reached) had the race finished under a red flag and the event clock ran out then you get reduced points according to race distance covered

Red Bull have had the better race car more often than not, and when they're usually atleast half a second infront of the 3rd best team in quali, have decent strategy people and are up against a mistake-ridden tean/driver(s), they're always going to walk it. The car may not be in dominant bracket pace-wise that Mercedes have had for most of their titles, but in terms of competition they really have barely had any. Add to that they put all their eggs in Verstappen's basket and that they overspend

As was expected

Red Bull found in 'minor' breach of Formula 1 cost cap, no punishment revealed yet

Red Bull have been found in 'minor' breach of Formula 1's cost cap, the FIA has confirmed.

As reported by Sky Sports News last week, Red Bull have overstepped last season's $145m cap by less than five per cent. A punishment has not yet been revealed, although a severe penalty is not expected.

Red Bull are the only team to have exceeded the cap, with Aston Martin only having been found to have made a 'procedural' mistake with their report.

The results were finally published on Monday following a delay amid intense speculation about which teams had failed to comply.

Red Bull should be allowed to go over the cost cap.  Why not?  Rules don't apply to Red Bull in any case.  They shouldn't be fined.  They should be applauded.

Horner is as honest as they come.  He should be honoured.

As for the (second) first time world champion, this is as irrelevant as last seasons fiasco as far as he is concerned.  Awesome.

Roll on next season.

How cynical. It'll be investigated as thoroughly and publicly as Ferrari's engine in 2019 was.
