Liverpool vs Leicester (cup) post match

Recommended Posts

There is literally no other team in world sport that has more of a victim mentality than Liverpool.

For a 'tinpot cup' they scream about not giving a shit about, the media darlings are making a lot of noise about beating our all time best XI (ignoring all our injuries) with their under 12s reserves. As with every Liverpool match, the referee was completely biased against them of course despite the contrary evidence to anyone who isnt blinkered.

Can you learn the rules, we only made 4 and had 1 left 😂😂

You are allowed to make 5 subs at 3 intervals in the game!

We had used the 3 different points in the game to make subs:

Ricardo - Albrighton

Daka - Iheanacho

and the double change.

Learn the ****ing rules

It is five in three blocks, we'd used them up.

Ooooh plot twist!

He's right though.

You can make up to 5 subs, but only in 3 different occasions.

So for example, you'd have to make 2 doubles and a single.

Then if there's an injury, tough shit. You don't get o fourth window to make a substitute.

Say what you want about the result tonight, the manager and his decisions and the performance of some players.

FORGET ALL THAT. We need to be right horrible ***** when these willy pullers turn up on the 28th. We need to try and channel the atmosphere of a few years ago and be really nasty, horrible ***** to their fans, manager and players for the full 90.

The issue is, when we're horrible ****s we get booked and sent off

It just might be that most of the clubs above us have improved their squads/got better….Arsenal, Villa, for sure Wolves got their striker back and the European big six (Spurs apart maybe) have improved further than we have?

I don't disagree at all but I'm not sure what explains our obvious decline in quality and standards with essentially the same squad plus a few players who are supposed to improve us. Yes we have injuries but we did last season too.

When you can't make a rational formation from the players on the pitch, without playing at least two players out of positions, as a manager you've lost ya head, surely we have to give Amartey (if available) Nelson if not some game time. Both Justin and Thomas benefitted from playing when other injury problems forced the hand. Have Mendy and Hamza shagged BRs wife, I'd sooner they were given a chance than Soumare from a defensive standing.

Did you watch tonight's game at all?

I don’t understand why we’re excusing failure. We’ve lost a game that we should have won.

Someone in the match thread was defending the double substitution of Vestegaard and Bertrand.

Real cult behaviour that. Anyone in the stadium tonight knew that was wildly stupid. Can't ever think of a time that replacing half a back line had ever worked much less against a team like this Liverpool one.

How bad is Iheanacho at the minute, lost all momentum and its very frustrating. How's he not cracked that one first time in to a near empty net?

I don't think he's had the best of treatment at times, to be fair to the lad. He's retreated into the doleful looking character he was when he was last struggling. He has been messed about a bit though and it must be difficult to keep motivation when you've had the season he had last season yet find yourself on the periphery again.

Won’t stop half this forum clamouring for him to start in our ‘best’ XI.
He’s a confidence player, currently short of it.
Woeful tonight
