Liverpool vs Leicester (cup) post match

Recommended Posts

I feel like this season is a turning point for the club, which isn't a good thing when you consider the upward trajectory of the last decade. We'll win nothing, lose a few of our better players, struggle to tie down the next batch and if recruitment is anything like the last 18 months, we could soon become very irrelevant once again.

Bad decisions from Brendan . Can t understand taking Daka and KDH off

Decisions from Madley too elbow on Thomas from Joto before he scored awful foul on Albrighton from Keita and Vardy being pulled to the ground before Minamino scored !!

if I was a conspiracy theorist I’d say the refs were giving clop an apology for Tierney s display last weekend !

Fuming at this absolutely as embarrassing as any result this season. The team that started for us and them meant we should have won easily. And at 3-1 that should have been it. To then lose the game is a joke. Why didn't Vardy take a pen???????????

And why the f**k did Thomas and sh*tting Bertrand?

BERTRAND!?!????

Before I analyse Rodgers performance, what was the reason for the subs as I tuned in late.

KDB off seemed odd to me as he adds bite to our team.  But were the others injuries?

Even Kevin De Bruyne couldn't have stopped that awful second half

I really hope Daka’s starting on Sat as no idea why they took him. Certainly has to start him against them in the league. I’m not even sure why Iheanacho came on. Was it to get minutes? About five mins from the end when he wasn’t moving Vardy absolutely laid into him at one point.

Being down the bare bones at the back hurt as well. N’Did did really well, then just one mistake at the end.

Lets not forget that refereeing performance though, especially after all the noise made about the Kane challenge this week. The Liverpool players worked out the ref wasn’t going to pull them up on anything so really got stuck in. I don’t think we even could have gone in with the same aggression as we’d have been punished. Morton, Keita and Jota didn’t even get a card between them despite the fact they’d have gone to VAR in the Prem.

Vardy clearly must be injured. Rodgers clearly doesn't want to choose Bertrand to take a pen over him. I know this is shit, but I wish people would use their common sense here.

Was it ‘common sense’ to take off KDH, who was immense, and change to three at the back, when we know we flap it when we try and park the bus.

We are genuine fook up merchants

Anyone claiming that Rodgers is some tactical genius needs their head looking at

But the real problem as I’ve said all season is our defence, which is the weakest it’s been for many seasons

We just can’t keep goals out and the lack of strength in depth is criminal really at this level

Has anyone said the defence isn't the issue?

Someone has to explain to me how we get a 19 year old up to take a kick ahead of Vardy? You can Sports Science the shit out of football but surely the summer confirmed that putting kids up to take kicks - however confident they are - is a terrible idea.

That aside we lost our grip in the second half. It's a common Rodgers failing. Total kick in the nuts.

It gets more and more amazing that this lot managed to win the FA Cup. Weak as piss mentally and bottle 90% of moments they’re under pressure.

Jota is up there with Fernandes for getting away with everything and being just the cuntiest of *****. Ref has shit himself after seeing Klopp at the weekend, might as well just hand him the whistle for the rest of their games this season.

The more I see of this team the weirder the cup final looks.

We have thrown away advantageous positions either in-game or in-season at almost every other critical juncture in Rodgers’ tenure with not just poor but absolute no-show performances and we leak goals like a sieve.

And yet against the European champions we dig in for 90 minutes in an attritional game and win 1-0.
