lcfc_forever Posted 24 January 2022 Share Posted 24 January 2022 If getting a CB is not looking likely, I think it would be good to bring in some experience to help guide the players and set the example while the likes of Vardy and Evans are out injured. When he broke through we had Ricardo and even JJ available for that position, no one was envisioning Ricardo ever leaving or the problems he would encounter with injuries. Problem is, if you have zero money to invest, in any given window, and like us, there is potentially loads of games still to play, and the injury list is massive, in terms of centre back options (which btw, is a list that will only get bigger!) then you have to have the foresight to recruit within your means. Yes, he's not up to our standard, but he is better than Vestergaard and Bennett, and we need to have some sort of coherent plan. Plus, I can't stand playing square pegs in round holes.
