With two of his Belgium compatriots wanting to leave, LCFC does not look like an attractive proposition

Its a bit pointless debating this now but here goes: Youri is likely going to make a move to a bigger club so I don't see how that devalues our standing, seeing how he raised his profile while at the KP enough for bigger clubs to be wanting to pick him up. Praet just isn't good enough for what he wants to be. We'd probably gladly take him back if he accepted being a squad player but he thinks he's above that.

Mr Rudkin should you be telling people that in public?

I wish haha

With that comment I was just going off the Belgian journo claiming we haven't had contact with CDK's camp for a couple of weeks now, and that was 2-3 weeks ago already.

...there is no reason why a player should not be ambitious and believe in himself!!!

I do not believe that is how he feels, it is more a case of his face not fitting and at his age, he needs to be playing regular football. Hamza should be looking to go down that road, it does not help him to be here, should he have the ambition of being the best that he can be.

I like Praet but he had an almost impossible situation, where he had Youri in front of him and Wilf patrolling in front of the backline. With Rodgers playing Youri every game (don't forget he needs to play all the time as he loses his talent) where was Praet going to fit, unless we choose to play with 2 #8s, but Rodgers refused to deploy those tactics. Last season the opportunity due to injuries arose, and we had to adopt that formation (4-3-3), but KDH had now taken over his role.

This thread increasingly looks like a group of 14 year-olds standing in a school playground with a porn mag, telling each other ‘what they’d do’ with said models ……. all knowing full well that they’ll never get the chance……..

Totally, whilst in their pubescent heads they know it all!

It’s clear Milan has always been his objective. I wouldn’t invest anything in this.

the only positive is that he never ruled us out, like he did with leeds.

It makes me think that if we out bid them he would end up here.

I just dont think we value him at what hes going to go for

Id suggest we had (as Milan have) agreed personal terms a long time ago. Too.much noise furniture not to be valid. But circumstances have meant we had to pull back.

The Leeds move was laughed out from the get go

....if the asking price is £30m and we meet it, irrespective of what Milan is offering over and above, if he chooses to come to us, we will not have to match the Milan price!!!

Club Brugge may prefer a sale to Milan, but the player's choice of club to transfer to is where he will end up.

Brugge will prefer a sale to whoever is offering the most, and at this point it isn’t us..

Think it’s pretty clear as he apparently has already agreed terms with Milan, and being who they are he is going to choose to there anyway

Doesn't matter if we have not got the space in the squad or wage bill

Wasn’t Torino’s chairman in London to discuss a move for Praet and Bremer to Chelsea/Spurs, which never materialised? Talks can break down and Fabrizio has got a lot wrong this window.

I can see Brugge being quite stubborn and sticking to their asking price which Milan might not agree to.

...I  was trying to illustrate that teams do not have to go into a price war, as the prospective player chooses where he wants to go, as opposed to the club that has bid the highest!!!

I have already accepted that he is not coming here!

When and where did he rules out Leeds?  (clue - he hasn't).
