It's pretty hard to fail, eventually you're left with 3 or so possible words if you don't completely mess it up.  Also

didn't know you could have the same letter twice!

 

The tricky ones are where there are multiple simple words differing by 1 letter, and if you get caught up guessing you can very quickly run out of tries. 'LIGHT' was an answer a couple weeks ago, and there were a few people who had 'boards' which looked like the below by trying to get it right on the next guess (where if you 'wasted' an obviously incorrect guess to rule out a few letters first you can get it in ~2 more)

Double letters obviously don't help matters either!

 

The more obscure words are usually pretty hard to fail on because they end up as the only option fairly quickly, but require a bit more thinking time on each guess to work out whats possible. It'd be a lot tougher if guessing an invalid word still counted as one of your guesses.
