“Nevzat Dindar: "There are three offers for Yunus Akgün. Bordeaux, Nantes and Leicester City. Yunus also wants to evaluate these offers because he thinks he is worn out in Galatasaray. The offers are in the 5-6 million euro band. For Morutan, 4.5 million A euro offer came and was rejected."

Nice find. So Akgün is a Turkish 23-year-old, left-footed right-winger (paging Dr @Ric Flair 👀).

SofaScore says his strengths are passing, playmaking, and high pressing. Which do all suit what we need...

(Also, for those who were also initially confused by the last sentence, that's referencing a bid for another Gala player, irrelevant to the mention of us here)

“Leicester City, which was relegated in the Premier League last season, made an offer of 5 million Euros to Yunus Akgün from Galatasaray.”

Interesting, right winger who can play all across the front. They are well followed in Turkey, seems so random that there could be something in it…

Looks a half decent player and the type we need. Someone with a little bit more about them. 5m Euro isn't bad. But would he want to come?

He had a really good season in 2021/22 on loan and came back to Gala and was very average last season.

They seem to be pushing it to the max on proven players this summer, I could see them letting him go. For that price, at this level, I'm intrigued.

He's an assists machine.

“SPECIAL | Leicester City, Bordeaux and Nantes made an official rental offer with a conditional 'mandatory purchase' for Yunus Akgün, who plays for Galatasaray.

💰 PURCHASE OPTIONS OFFER

Leicester City: 7 million euros
Bordeaux: 6 million euros
Nantes: 6 million euros”

Followed by Santi & Fab so could be something in this..

1m followers for a journo covering Turkish football. I believe this one, not sure if we can beat those other teams to him though…

Enzo labelling Hamer as the best player in the champ..

Hard to disagree. He is a fantastic player, too good at this level. Like a bulldog in the middle, his attitude and tenacity reminds me a bit of Tevez. Delivery from dead balls is superb.

We should at least try to get him but he’ll almost certainly go to the Premier League now.
