That definitely has been the case with some clubs in the past. Spurs spending the Bale money springs to mind immediately.

 

However, although we're certainly not immune to making dud transfers, I think we have a good track record of getting value in the market and identifying good, cheaper replacements for the players we lose.

We certainly HAD a good track record. Is it still good?  I’m not so sure.

So kasper and Simon we still had not spent 10m.  Ulloa was 8m.

 

But none of them owe us anything. But we owe them everything.
