Yup thought the same thing. Lookman waa very good for us last year and that price is excellent. This seems like it's going to be a long window... If we were to pick up a bonafide RW and had the resources to pick up a CB and a CM if we could juggle the finance, then by all means bring him in. I'm usually pretty calm about these things but common sense suggests something isn't right when the manager says there's going to be a refresh and then nothing happens. Interesting too that some seem to think our finances are in decent health and others think we're ****ed. From the outside it seems there's a fair degree of uncertainty around the club. I agree with not losing any sleep over it, if, as it appears, we don't have a big pot of money, but if we were to sign him, mainly as back up/rotation/competition for left hand side, as long as we do sort the right hand side and other priorities, I think it would represent a real step up to that much vaunted "next level" Barnes is as good as any, on his day, but last season it was very refreshing to know Barnes could be replaced (in the team only), unlike tielemans unfortunately. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We need to shift players on first, it's pretty obvious that without the extra income being in Europe brings, we need to clear some bodies out off the wage bill before we add to it. The weird thing is, he played right wing in 2018/19 and had an excellent season. His underlying stats were exceptional and then they converted him to a left wing back.
