Wesley Fofana - He is no more - finished - forgotten.

This is painfully naive from Brendan. Champions League playing center backs have struggled to get into that France squad. He would also play regularly for Chelsea.

Mid table Kurt Zouma has regularly played for France since his move.

He was due a call up in March-ish time but we said no because he wasn't 100% back from his injury. He was then called up again in the summer but he had to say no because he was getting married.

He's absolutely in Dechamps' plans for the World Cup. He'll get there with or without a move to Chelsea because he's 100% good enough.

To be fair Brendan has to try here. The truth would likely not help at this point. However Fofana will know, like we all do, playing regularly for Chelsea improves his prospects far more than playing for us. So I guess all Brendan will have done is made himself look like an idiot to Fofana.

It is a balancing act.

Everyone points to maguire sale as excellent business, however we were ourselves throwing silly money bids for Dunk, Ake etc which were all rejected.

I hope this time if they do sell they have given enough time to replace

Hope we're taking the Mahrez January 2018 stance on this. Too late to get a replacement, so no deal on general principle.

Even if we get more money for him, we are then going to get pants pulled down on signing a replacement, as they will be aware of the funds received and the clock ticking into the deadline

....we will have a list of CBs to go for!!!!

Rudkin will have to hold his nerve, Glover you would think will have a hand in this, it wouldn't be difficult.

We might well have a list to go for, but do you not think those teams then have to sign a replacement, and face the same increased premium due to the knock of effect of the clock ticking.

That's got them nice and riled up.

It appears Chelsea are now wary of buying a ‘Maguire’ £85 million. He is only 21 and if he joins CFC he has to deliver 10/10 every game week after week, otherwise the fans will soon turn on him as we have seem with Mr M. A lot of pressure for young Wes. There are no guarantees and a drop of form would make CFC look stupid.

**** ‘em, then. If they don’t want to cough up the Benjamins, they can do one.

He came back and played a blinder in an important European game after 7/8 months out with a broken leg. The lad can handle any type of pressure.

Money money money. I honestly don’t care how much Chelsea offer. As a Leicester fan I just want to see one of the world’s best young defenders play for us for at least one more season - especially as we didn’t get to see him in the flesh in his first season here and he was out injured for most of the second.

I would guess that any buyer would want to keep the fee under a World Record amount, specifically to reduce the pressure on the player and thereby improving the chance of success for the club. Watching what happened to Harry who has had to bear such a fee is quite telling.

Fine, just don’t expect a RW. :D

Spend deadline day in an airport. Go on strike for 2 matches. Then allowed to come back against Man City showing showing we need him more than he wants us.
