We won’t want to keep a player who is effectively refusing to play for us at the club. We’ll get rid for less than we want.

It's total bollocks. He will play if he's told to play. You really think he's sat at home having an existential crisis over this? His agrent has told him this will work. If he truly wasn't happy at Leicester, he wouldn't have signed a 5 year deal without a release clause.

It's all a total nonsense, call his bluff and play him on Saturday, if Chelsea don't pay up he will settle down and get on with it.

F.uck Fofana, f.uck his twatty agent, f.uck Chelsea and their scatter gun approach to transfers, f.uck the Premier League, f.uck UEFA  and their closed shop creating FFP rules.

Oh and f.uck modern football.

Mahrez pretty much did the same thing

Not really...we don't have to sell him. He's in contract so the position doesn't change. We have a history of holding firm (Mahrez, Maguire etc.) and still command a fee.

Exactly. He will play eventually. We shouldnt accept anything less than our asking price.

People are forgetting this is a World Cup year and no chance Fofana will ruin his chance to play for France. We'll still get a good fee for him and Chelsea will need to put up the valuation we have for him. If not then he won't go but can't see Fofana not playing / wanting that. There will be plenty of talk with his agents and Chelsea to get this done

Massively weakens our position regarding fee.

I agree. I would hold out on a point of principle and keep him now rather than let him go for a fee less than our valuation. His behaviour is unacceptable but not unexpected given he displayed similar behaviours to get a move from St Etienne. I think the difference between that situation and this is Fofana signed a long extension only a couple of months ago. It is clear his head has been well and truly turned and I believe it is more than likely Chelsea behaved inappropriately particularly behind the scenes. I have never seen so many media posts about a 'potential' signing, already agreeing terms. That may of course be speculation but the volume and consistency of details in the articles suggests foul play. I think if we cave in now, other clubs will use a similar playbook in future transfer dealings. If we hold out, the bloody so called 'big six' will still know they can't take LCFC for fools.
