Drinkwater was big money for him but not for a player and look at what happened to him. He couldn't get a sniff. We aren't pushovers but players that get a move are because either we want rid or the buying club really, really want them so what is bad about that from a players perspective? Mahrez fee seems bang on now to me. If they're going to be first team for a top 4 then they need to pay the big money. Fof is younger and has more resale value and a longer contract. It seems a fairly basic negotiating tactic for the seller to go high, the buyer to go low so that both parties get a number somewhere in the middle that they both knew would be the price...
