It really wouldn’t shock me if the Chelsea C##ts parade the w****r at half time just to piss us off even more

Surely they can't as its a verbal agreement at this stage. Presume Wes is now going have to read that contract this time (as he clearly has problems in this area ) and have that leg looked at pretty closely. Hope they don't do an aptitude test (oh hang on, its chelsea, they target pric*s).

Even after signing a new 5 year deal? Irrelevant of his playing value, his contract value must surely be worth more than what’s been offered.

Why? Contracts are protection against getting totally ripped off (we haven’t been) and despite fans opinions, he has not actually done a massive amount. For example, if he had not been injured last season and got into the France squad, he may have gone for more, and would also suspect the fact Harry was in the England squad would also increased his value..

But when it comes to it, if Fofana being sold mean we get a decent defender and a RW of quality - haven’t we done ok?  :dunno:

We can't have one out and two in we know that and two more high salaries on the pay bill makes the situation on pay  even worse.

Sorry, should have been more clear, I am working on the assumption/belief/hope, more are leaving, such as Perez, Soumare, Praet, etc

£70/80m for a player with a career total of 57 league appearances (82 including cup competitions) isn’t to be sniffed at.

Exactly! People have been critical of our recruitment at times, but when we get it right, we certainly get it very right!!

The profit from his sale is barely enough to cover the 30m we wasted on Perez whos likely leaving on a free. Not forgetting we’ve got Mendy, Soumare, Praet and Vestergaard not really bringing any return on investment in too.

Which is my point. We’ll find the right signings but not with a week to go.

We’ve weakened ourselves and it’s not even like we’ve made more profit than we would of done next summer.

We will be OK as long as we can get a couple of players in.

If we don't we will get relegated, crazy how we are one of the poorest teams in the premier league now, owners can't match the aspirations they initially set now unless they spend 200 -300 million every season or every other season

This isnt really true.  We are in a mess now because recruitment has been poor which has led to our money over the last 24 months being thrown on garbage players who we now cant shift on because seemingly only Leicester thought they were good players in the first place so no one wants them.  The failure here comes from the top.  If the recruitment was more hit than miss since Rodgers took over, we wouldnt be in such trouble

Don't get why people think we've bottled it. The deal will just be structured differently, and probably leads to why there's so many different reports.

We wouldn't have been 'weak' or 'bottled' it. Not everything the club ever does is always negative or bad.

Confirmation bias, backing up the pre conceived view that somehow the club eff everything up. Some random twitter reports a figure, therefore that’s truth 😅. All we really know is there has been a verbal agreement for the transfer of a player that had to be moved on (🛎️🔚), everything else is guess work. Our club have shown time and time again getting big fees for our players, it may have been more difficult this time because the player in question acted so unprofessionally.

Oh would you just f*** off

Even an ex pro overrating Fofana , what is it they are seeing and I am not. He is not as good overall as Jonny Evans yet and will probably never be as good as Jonny at his peak.It just shows you how  bandwagons start then a few years down the line they shrug their shoulders and say " I got that one wrong didn't I ".. It looks as though we got £10 million more than I thought he was worth , so OK decent business now let's move on and put this idiot chapter behind us.

Totally disagree about Tielemans, who has done nowt wrong, done nothing he doesn’t have every right to do, and has never seemed anything other than a decent bloke behaving perfectly professionally.

Couldn’t agree more about Fofana, who is clearly either a twat, has a twat for an agent, or is a twat with a twat for an agent.

Only thing questionable about Tielemens is his level of commitment on the pitch, he may not be conscious of it but he's rarely put in 100% this season or last
