Have you seen where we are in the table?.Have you read the Rodgers thread? Would you come here now? A championship player is the best we can hope for.

...there will be a plethora of willing players from the continent looking to come here, and to play in the Premier League!!!

If Fofana was on 80k Euros a month, then coming here on a 5 year contract (irrespective of who the manager would be) would be akin to winning the jackpot.

Yep and we lost our prize asset near the end of a transfer window ..  have badly weakened and unsettled the whole team ..  and shown to any other club that all they have to do is whisper in a players ear and we’ll bend over and take it up the harris ..

We received a record fee based upon the potential of a kid who has not proven he's worth it, who didn't want to play for the club, and who was the exact person  who threw a fit and badly weakened and unsettled the whole team.

Selling him allows the team to recover and play to its ability. Keeping him after his dramatics would have ruined the season.  At least now we have a chance at seeing some decent football out of Leicester.

And if you think the club has earned itself a rep for being soft on transfers, that's just dumb. If anything, its obviously the opposite. Which may scare players we recruit. We almost exploded our season with this Fofana play. The one thing that could not, under any circumstances happen, was this little sh1t to stay. Glad to see him gone after all this.

one quite significant detail that i haven’t seen discussed is that Susan was the person responsible for negotiating this.

Or so it was reported.

Seems a little strange no? why wouldn’t the DOF  be involved. Or even have the relationships, it’s not like this is a new club for us.

A possible sign the club have lost faith?  It’s not like he’s been busy 😂

Potentially because the resulting fee became more of a club financial matter (i.e our stadium expansion and whatnot could depend on this deal) and wasn't just purely a sporting one

We have made 300 pages, close and archive this thread would be really great.  We have to move on and start to turn things around………..and quick.

It might be too late now to pull out!

By the same logic it should be too late to send him to the other side of the world for a medical!

They have properly screwed up our season by their tapping up, low ball bids and unsettling tactics. They are taking the absolute pi$$ with this and their antics all over the summer.

Wonder if this is attempt to comeback with his medical is a little ropey, we want to reduce the fee.

If it is, pull the plug.    I did say his medical could be interesting. That was a terrible injury and he has previous too.  I am assuming this could be for Insurance purposes, which I see as perfectly normal given the size of the fee and the sum of 6 years salary.

I don't disagree but we need the money for replacements and maybe also getting rid of Rodgers in the process as well.
