Wesley Fofana - He is no more - finished - forgotten.

Dunno. I’m not a Chelsea fan.

Well that’s the reason he’s more than likely been sent to see a specialist, that the owner obviously trusts. With an investment like Fofana, who’s cost them a fortune and is potentially a world class player, they will want to make sure that he is fully fit and that there won’t be any setbacks before he completes the deal.

That or, if you're a cynic, he's being sent to a specialist the owner owns who's going to magically find a reason Fofana should cost fifteen million less, even though they'll still want to sign him.

Possibly but can they even demand a lower fee if a niggle is found? I mean surely it’s either take him or pull out? That’s the risk they have to take? Once a fee is agreed you can’t go back surely?

If you are not a cynic when discussing football , you are living in cloud cuckoo land. Having said that Chelsea appear to ridiculously overpay for everybody. Their worry I think is that Fofana might be a risk too far and they could be right.

Thing I don't get is why Fofana is going to the US. Surely with the money at stake you'd fly the Consultant to the UK, not the other way around. More importantly I'm surprised that LCFC have sanctioned this. What happens if he gets injured whilst travelling?

Depends if we're desperate for the money.

Wonder what Wes is thinking? Even if you like flying, it must seem a bit OTT to get flown across the pond and back for a medical.

Jeez, he could trip and do his knee on a lose paving stone outside a Chelsea medial centre too!

Please chill out people. There's nothing weird or improper going on here. The US doc(s) will have their own equipment and measuring devices. If Boehly respects the opinions of the ones he knows (the LA Dodgers ones??) then that's cool. His call. All will become clear in time.

I don't anticipate any problem and the deal will go through soon enough. Any potential deals for incoming will be on a holding pattern, we'll not miss out.

Chelsea need to put up or shut up. Pay the fee or he goes nowhere.

It’s not mainly his money either - Clearlake own 60%

it’s possible the underwriters have insisted on the medical being done over there ??

Of course it will. Don’t you think Bohley knows that?  Payback for rinsing them on the deal. Here’s your money but you can do feck all with it now. Bye.

Not a chance it will.

It doesn’t work like going in a shop and buying a pair of trainers.

They can demand it, but we don’t have to accept it.

I mean it isn’t like we can’t do anything until the deal is confirmed

We can still line up our own deals and have them ready to go

Some sense in this thread! Even by Foxestalk standards there's so much nonsense in here. We will have had talks with players/agents several  weeks ago. Now we progress things & they will be ready to go.
