Romano tweeting "here we go" obviously supercedes the statement of the selling club lol

Chelsea fans are a different breed

Rest of this guy's responses are a joy to behold, basically calling Brighton liars cus Fab says it's happening!

I imagine they won't sell Cucurella unless Chelsea remove the buy back clause for Colwill.

Would love to see Chelsea miss out on Cucurella and Fofana on top of the 20 players that they've missed out on already lol

Brighton should just stick 2 fingers up and say nah he ain't going anywhere. At some point, "smaller" clubs need to stand up to this bullying and say enoughs enough, you're not going to force us to sell our best players. Unfortunately player and agent power is a big thing stopping this from happening!

It’s not hard too know why the media behave this way, obviously, but it certainly is tiresome for any fans except those of ‘big clubs’

There's one reason and one reason only, everyone knows. So little African fellas that pretend to support the big team can argue with little South American fellas that pretend to support the big team, about who's best out of Ronaldo and Messi, in the comments section.

Yes and we should stick our poverty club up our arses, CR7 is never going to show us the King he is.  :frusty:

Never realised this, glaringly obvious in hindsight. If buying domestically, Clubs pay 20% of the transfer fee to HMRC.

If a football club paid VAT on a transfer, they would reclaim that amount as input VAT from HMRC on their next VAT return.

So the only impact would be timing of cashflow, and given the way deals are structured, clubs could end up getting the money back from HMRC before they have paid the whole transfer!

Exactly :D It's an honour for us bottom feeders to even be mentioned alongside such truly enormous giants of the game.

I also find it strange they are hell bent on signing every defender on the planet but yet don't have 1 decent striker at the club. Very odd!

Not sure how that will work out for them over the course of the season. It worked for Man C but generally most successful clubs in the world have a decent striker. Even Man C now have Haaland and Liverpool have Nunez. I hope they crash and burn and finish outside the top 6. They are miles behind Man C and Liverpool and be interesting to see how Man U, Spurs and Arsenal stack up against them this season.

Clubs must be sick of him thinking he is the king of the transfer window.  He's down to his last few sources these days!

Hes not really though is he?

It'll happen.
