Where would we be if we hadn’t had all the injuries?

Hypothetical I know, but I would think we would of been top 5 comfortably

Hypothetically we might lost the game cup final because Justin plays chilwell onside

We we may have lost to Newcastle because fofana got a straight red.

Football is a game of fine margins and impossible to tell. Last season people would argue we would have made top 4 if we hadn’t lost Barnes ... but now we have him back and he has issues with form (as does every player).

We’ve been medically mismanaged and we will never know but if we did football wouldn’t be interesting.

Schmeichel, Castagne, Fofana, Soyuncu, Ricardo, Ndidi, Tielemans, Albrighton, Maddison, Iheanacho, Vardy

This starting 11 was 0-4 down at home to Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.

What on earth is that line up / formation? lol

Looks like a 3-4-1-2 with Castagne as the RCB… At home to Newcastle. Another Brendan Rodgers masterclass!

The subs were: Ward, Amartey, Fuchs, Thomas, Choudhury, Mendy, Praet, Under, Perez

So we had enough players available to play 4-1-4-1/4-2-3-1 that day but no, got to play 3-4-1-2 with players out of position.

Just one example of the many awful starting line ups Brendan has picked.

It was the game where Evans got injured in the warm up and he jigged things around instead of going to a back 4 or putting Big Dan in as a straight swap for Evans

11th with Fofana struggling to replicate the form from the previous year, Vardy exhausted from playing every minute, Bertrand having not had Covid is on course to be are player of the season and with Vestegaard still at Southampton and Amartey not getting a game who would be our scapegoats.

Out of interest how far back are we taking this magical non-injury world, because if Greaves wasn't injured in 1966 then Geoff Hurst would not having been playing -

Point being, don't use injuries as a cop out, all clubs have them at one point or another and it does not give the players the right to be as lacklustre as we have seen on so many occasions this season.

We have only used 24 players this season in the Premier league, the 3rd lowest in the league - Add Fofana and we have a squad of 25. The issue is we have a small squad, we recruited poorly and have a reluctance to use our youth players

We'd have conceded fewer but doubt we would have scored many more.  Maybe 8 or 9 points better off?  Above Brighton, trying to hang on to Wolves and Spurs.  In the mix for 6th or 7th.  But miles off top 4.

Injuries is a big excise for me, can say it hasn't helped but it hasn't impacted us massively.

We haven't been able to defend set pieces for longer than this season, that cost us the top four in itself.

Fofana is a miss obviously but he had some poorer performances last season too.

Rodgers made stupid mistakes with full squads anyway. Tried to cram into too many centre backs, fine when you're playing away at big clubs but he did it in stupid home games which we went on to lose

The injuries have highlighted how weak our squad is if we lose our first choice players. We’ve not fielded our full strength defence all season and that has been absolutely key to our shocking defence

Is that Vardy or Iheanacho you wanted dropped then? And under or perez on the wing?
