Does anybody actually understand that the colour is MAROON and not BURGANDY???

From the press release: https://www.lcfc.com/news/2696860/create-iconic--the-202223-leicester-city-third-shirt-by-adidas-on-sale-now - "With maroon highlights serving as a subtle nod to City’s 2020/21 FA Cup triumph"

If you are struggling to tell the difference, have read through: https://www.difference101.com/burgundy-vs-maroon-color/ - its not actually that difficult...

They're quite similar.

I'm ever so sorry if our interpretation offended you to go to so much trouble though.

i actually really like the new home kit. think it looks smart.   I also liked the 3rd kit.   Tried it on (with an intention to purchase) and my Son went "just no, Dad.".....

Ended up buying the home shirt.  Decent Fit, it no longer needs painting on, collar isn't too bad.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about to be honest.

I don’t like the tone of your comments. It’s not very inclusive. I suffer from colour blindness and I am most offended by your claims that it’s “not actually that difficult”, as in my reality, they are exactly the same.

I mean there is very very little difference. Perhaps maroon has slightly more blue in it

With every paint/ink/etc manufacturer's colours differing slightly in hue or shade, it's a bit pointless to debate tiny differences like this tbh

One company's Maroon is closer to another company's Claret, and another's Burgundy is identical to another's Bordeaux, and so on and so forth

Noticed a few players yesterday having to straighten their collar after it flapped about left them dishevelled.

Might need to put a stitch in to hold it in place.

I noticed the exact same thing.  It's the sort of thing that would niggle/irritate some and you really wouldn't want to be bothered by it. I can see some form of remedial action being taken and obviously, for the club, a 'stitch in time' might be the answer to save an otherwise embarrassing sight of a player ripping the damned thing off!

Definitely going to see players doing that with this shirt.

@Diffco illustration really hits the spot, but following your own link:-

Burgundy vs. Maroon color is similar shades of Red. They have a slight difference that one unexpert eye can hardly find out the exact shade. Maroon is a mixture of red and brown whereas Burgundy is made of red and purple. Both of these colors deliver a dark red finish.

Is that 3 or 4 points that highlight how difficult it is, from your own link.

****ing red innit!

I understand that almost all electronic screens give slightly different colours and am concerned that on my screen the burgundy looks more maroon and the maroon more burgundy, can you please bring some swatches to the match on sunday, I will meet you outside the statue in the ****ing dark red shirt what we won the cup in.

Was just thinking, all that's left on our 'summer shit show' bingo card is...

"Leicester City are delighted to announce a new multi year partnership with Castore upon completion of our Adidas deal in 2023"
