Not saying anything about being successful wearing them but until Pierpoint we'd never had anything but white shorts for decades. We'd have still had all that stuff happen in white shorts.

Hmm, maybe a few but certainly not all. Liverpool for example had white shorts until 1965, and then started to see a higher level of success.

The late Ian St. John, who scored the winning goal for Liverpool in the 1965 FA Cup final, claimed the decision to wear all-red was made by Shankly in a bid to make his players look and feel like giants on the pitch.

I recall Morgan mentioning something very similar to this during our title winning season. More confidence in the team, and it sets us apart from the likes of Ipswich and Birmingham which can only be a good thing.

I don't recall him having confidence issues in white shorts in 2014.

And for every Liverpool there's an Arsenal, United or Man City winning trophies in white shorts.

Yeah there's a few recent ones in white shorts, the 9-0 at Southampton was another. But over the last 30 years there have been more good events happen to us in all blue than not - a good rate considering how often we've worn white shorts. It doesn't matter what other teams wear when they have endless amounts of money, I'm just saying it works for us. There are not many (if any?) teams who play in all blue either.

Proper hated the yellow away shirts. So glad we moved on from that,

Maybe we should just stick with burgundy for away shirt color after the FA Cup win in that color, mixing in the black one with the turquoise sash occasionally.
