Leicester players spotted

Recommended Posts

Bury away in the league cup a few years ago and Kasper was sat near me and my nephew. As he walked past us (we both had leicester tops on) my nephew just said "alright kasper". He looked at us and then walked past us with no words and not even a smile. Met Kevin Phillips once and he was a really nice guy and had a picture taken with him.

Damien Delaney when he'd just come through our youth team was at friendly at scunthorpe, and 12 year old me asked him for an autograph and he refused. I was fuming as I was like, he's not even a 1st team player yet and he should be happy someone is asking for his autograph. Ever since then I've disliked him and to be honest, he's had a better career than his actual ability as I always thought he was crap.

That’s got to be a low point in life being refused an autograph by Damian Who? Doesn't surprise me one bit about Kasper.

We signed him from Cork, maybe he was bitter you thought he came from the Lestah academy!

You know what I mean. He didn't sign from Cork straight into our first team, pretty sure he'd have been with the youth team for a while.

This is Peter Taylor you're talking about. He was signed and in the first team pretty quick.

Ah fair enough, I was only young at the time so don't recall much of Delaney other than being a total bell end!

Taggs and Elliot in a bar in Loughborough, even got me a drink just saying hello.

Matt Heath sitting in zizzis window as I strolled past.

I once had a monumental go at Levi Porter in the casino for being a complete bag of shit and not caring. **** just said he supported Arsenal as though it was a justification.

I dream every night of meeting Prince Arnar but it never happens

I once bumped into Ian Ormondroyd at a kid's park in Bradford. I was pushing my daughter on the swings and he was walking his dog. The dog stopped in a very risky spot and my daughter took it out with a two-footed tackle as she swung back.

I quickly realised who it was. It was match day and we were on tv that afternoon. I was about to go home to watch the game. "Ah Ian I take it you're not in the squad today then?" I explained I was a Leicester fan. He hadn't been selected so had taken the opportunity to visit his family. I think he was going to watch on tv as well.

Can't remember who it was, possibly Newcastle, but we got stuffed; four or five.

Not unusual for a scandi..

I got.pelters on here once for daring to suggest scandis can be extremely rude.

I've encountered scandis frequently on holidays and more often than not  find them  arrogant,.selfish, inconsiderate and over confident

Add to that I recall a story by Peter Schmeichel gleefully recanting how he belittled.and.humiliated a guy in a.manchester restaurant who'd misguidedly suggested Peter was a better keeper than Kasper. The fan's nervous manners might have been a bit off kilter but Schmeichel's relish in humiliating the guy was cruel

Odd that, I've never found them to be any of those things.

After worshiping Lineker for many seasonsin my late teens/early20's I found myself next to him at the urinal at the end of season awards do at the LAOB club in 1985

He was hard work to engage with, I made an effort to be laid back, I got the impression that he couldn't wait to get away from me!

He hasn't changed my opinion of him being a w*nker since, at Madrid in 2017 we were in the box next to him and he wouldn't come out to say hello after the game!

Just remembered, Mike Whitlow presented end of season awards at my football club when I was about 11. He was playing for Bolton at the time as I live in the North West. He was really nice and I remember being so nervous going up getting a medal and he was really nice to me.

Not a former Leicester players but El Hadji Diouf was at the opening of my wife's hair salon as well. Proper random but her step dad worked at Bolton at the time and he was the player he managed to get down.
