Statutory defeat to gunners. Even during our premier league winning season they were the only side to inflict a double on us. I know we’ve beaten them a couple of times more recently btw.

Looked like a league one side that second half. Rodgers made three subs that didn't change a thing. An easy afternoon for arsenal. Shame we can't play the sides at the bottom every week.

I'm not that bothered. Silly goals to concede, and a decent 20mins at the end of the first half.

A game we were clearly not that bothered about going for, and it shown. Played ok for a period end of the first half but after the second we just wanted to get through the game with no injuries. 

 

****ing hate losing to Arsenal, hate their shitty little faces when they are winning. A pair of centre backs who are an embarrassment, constantly pretending to be injured, Lacazette never out the refs here, and so much smugness.

We played ok I thought. All I wanted was a performance that didn’t drain confidence after the last 3-4 games - so kind of happy which seems odd.

Kind of what everyone wanted, so i'm not going to complain. Was a limp affair but felt most people acquitted themselves well. Soft first goal and soft penalty. 

 

Hate Arsenal though. Looked like about 5 of their players got shot during the game, the way they were rolling around grabbing their faces. Pathetic.

Set up to fail. I only half-jokingly said 4-0 Arsenal when I saw the team sheet.

 

Actually feel bad for the player's this time (bar Soyuncu who should be forcibly held down and have his head shaved in the showers after the game).

Disappointed to basically write that off. Don’t believe the hype around Arsenal, they are decent, nothing more, but decent is all it took today.

 

If we somehow mess up against Rennes next time out, Rodger’s will have a lot to answer for. I see they smashed up Lyon today too…

Was really disappointed with that second half. There was nothing there. Arsenal didn’t get out of third great.

 

I can understand one pre-meditated sub, but it looked like that was two of them. That really limits what you can do in the final 20 minutes to react to the game situation. 

 

It was almost like we treated it as a friendly.

Didn't expect anything else. Lifeless performance. 

 

Arsenal didn't even get out of second gear and we gifted them easy goals. Subs were basically pointless as always and overall another limp performance

Play two up top against the top sides. 5-3-2. Worked last season.

 

Nacho and Daka can't play up top by themselves, especially with maddison playing as an 8

Not overly bothered and it looks like BR has shown his hand today in that we are going at the European competition.

 

BUT..very frustrating to be so passive and lifeless. Rolled over and let them win.
