This country seems to produce decent wing backs, and we ourselves have produced two already, and we’re stacked in that department, and we do love to play three at the back. I suspect Barnes will be a right sided attacking player and we’ll try to get in another if we can’t play Ian there. The signing of Soumare addresses one of our key shortcomings - a paucity of quality depth. It should not be viewed as primarily merely a means to make money in the transfer market. That was against Man City no less. *Extremely* impressive play that. You can tell he's still a bit raw, but definitely has the raw fundamentals. He is perfect for the Premier League, that physicality, his ability on the ball and intelligence to pick a good pass will dominate many a team. What was even more impressive was the players he brushed aside. From memory 2 of those 3 players were Rodri and Mendy, 2 of the biggest guys in the Man City team. Sorry this is just like he's playing with them, noticed this in a previous game.
