Our compromise should be, when we pick up the phone, when they make their next ridiculous offer. We say 80m and we will talk it over, and probably still reject it. Also 60 million is way too little for a player who not only scores goals but creates them and is English too. fee has to be north of 80 million especially as he is young enough to have potential re-sale value. Part of it is undoubtedly NUFC hammering home the message that just because our majority owners are rich, doesn't mean we're going to splash the cash like Man City and Chelsea did, even if the players are great. If rumours are true and Maddison is keen on the move, then there's no way you're getting £80m for him.
