Football punditry is so odd, most of the time we're and after thought and here we're being praised despite being ****ing awful

BT analysis of European games is pretty awful to be hobest

Oh for goodness' sake. They're not playing well today, but they hardly fired the ball into the net did they?

Rooting for Ricardo to rampage forward and set up Barnes for a netburster in the second half. Ideally in PSV's net.

Ricardo looks like his rampaging days are behind him. Sadly he looks a bit Fernando Torres. Awesome pre-injury.  Off it after.

Barnes cannot get past Junior in 3 halves so far. He has had him in his pocket for 135 minutes now in this tie. Lookman for Barnes on the LW. Play Barnes RW if anywhere.

By that metric there’s only one player that hasn’t been in the pocket of a defender, on both sides, and he only got in because we cocked it up

They are targeting Youri , closing him down. Needs a tactical switch with KDH who is more robust. Bet BR doesn't change anything, we go 2 down  then he takes off Nacho. BR has a pretty rubbish record in Europe  and here we see why.

Swapping Tielemans with KDH won’t do anything. The 4-2-3-1 double pivot is the problem and it was pretty obvious it wasn’t going to work with no recognised defensive midfielder.

Our biggest issue is we’ve got nothing beyond Nacho. He’s dropping so deep to pick up the ball we have nothing upfront.

For me we have to switch to a back 5 if we want to get goals. Sometimes we concede possession easily, but we’re more of a threat in behind.

Barnes is offering nothing at all, Nacho is dropping too deep and Maddison is way out of the game.

We are allowing an average PSV team to take this game.

I watched Barnes vs Junior last week as they were right in front of me. Junior has done his homework on Barnes, let someone else try.
