We need some rotation. Can't just play Youri & KDH twice a week until the end of May when they already look knackered. Every other position apart from Kasper is getting rotation, and mids get most millage of anyone game to game.

 

Even if people don't like Bouba, we have to rotate. It's either him or Choudhury. An injury to either KDH or Youri now and its season over.

we’re not going to be stuck with him for 4 years because of a 30 game clause no way.

What about Brunt? agree they need a rest Youri and KDH but if Choudary and Brunt played with Maddison and the 8 that played against PSV surely we give them a better chance of being useful with a stronger defence. Think Wednesday is a perfect opportunity to throw one unknown in with a stronger team.

18 prem appearances, 29 total including cups.

Brendan saying we signed Soumare because he's a hybrid of Ndidi/Tielemans tells you everything really. He is nothing of the sort. He's been asked to play all kinds of positions this season. DM, CM, even CAM/KDH's free role in his last appearance when he got subbed on lol.

 

If you look at his heatmap from the 2020/21 season, he seems to drift towards LCM and he's barely played there this season.

The only occasion I can think of was away at Spartak Moscow where he looked decent. I don't think he should be written off yet but next season will be make or break. Hope he makes it. He's still young.
