That's the best he has played for us for sure. He has had some other good games, but today I felt like he took the game by the scruff of the neck at 1-1 and helped turn that into a win. Great that the fans gave him a lot of praise.

 

One swallow doesn't make a summer, but when you see him play like that you can understand why we did pay so much for him. He was taking the game 20-30 yards further up the field consistently. Impressive performance!

Always been lenient on Soumare because personally, I think it's hard to judge players in a new league, sometimes they need time to adjust, took Messi a good few months to start performing for PSG for example. Given there could have been a bedding in period, and the fact he played for a Brendan Rodgers Leicester team in massive decline, I felt like he needed to be given the benefit of the doubt, he's been awful for us overall with a few standout performances, but if we can get this version of Soumare for the rest of the season, we will have a fantastic chance of staying up. 
He was absolutely carrying the midfield today given how bad Tielemans was on multiple occasions, and once we brought a few players on to help him protect the midfield, it allowed Soumare to show us what he's made of, and by god it was a joy to watch. 
Absolutely class today, best player on the pitch with Soyuncu very close behind him. 
Masterclass. Keep the faith in this lad.

I just can't fathom how he can turn in a performance like that today . Never mind the difference in coaching there is no denying the fact he has looked lethargic, lazy and disinterested previously. Let's pray this Soumare is the version we keep till the season ends.

I've got a feeling if he was a big club in France he'd be a very good player. He looks shy and a bit of a fish out of water in England. As someone who has lived abroad at points in my life, I understand it, you just don't feel comfortable.

 

Still not sure he will make it here. He'd probably do very well under someone like Vieira, who speaks French and played a similar position.
