The replies to this!

He's still really popular with people who have flags in their Twitter handle, confirm their position in their family in their bio, that they hate abusers of children and animals and list their hobbies.

I know it's very easy to be superior and laugh at people but....well that's it really

Farage is the one I can never get my head round. Everything about him screams dodgy financial adviser, but loads of people hang on his every word (although not as many now, like)

His damage is done.

I honestly can’t work out if those people are trolling or not. Does anybody know seriously?

Some of the Vox pops on the news have been genuinely shocking. Like claims that he'd done a good job or was a good person.

Unbelievable.

Yes. Makes me laugh that they often go to a Tory stronghold to ask Mr & Mrs True Blue as if they are the only people with any right to comment from the public. That anybody even Tory thinks it can all still be glossed over seems to have a loss of what is morally right.

Some of them have quite a few followers so presumably not bots, and if you look at their timelines they're pretty consistent in their errm...'outlook'.

My favourite bio comment was 'hates bastards'

Makes me chuckle that all the anti-Conservative, anti-Boris whooping on here will mean absolutely nothing when the next election comes round.

Starmer will not commit to trying to get back into the EU as he knows that the Labour stronghold of the North will not vote for him if he does, yet the champagne socialists of the South will not vote for him if he does not commit.

You can all bookmark this now to come back at me if I am wrong but it will not matter who becomes the next conservative leader, they will win the next election because of the above.  Too much of a fractured nation on Brexit, especially the North/South divide.

I want Johnson out because he is a liar. The Tories deserve berating because they chose him knowing he is a posh spiv. Alas that our voting system together with con that Brexit will solve all the problems I fear that that mob will get back in. Too many working class are like Turkeys voting for Xmas.

O yes, but he got Brexit done you know!!

How many times do you hear this same old crap!!? .. poxy Brexit will NEVER be 'done '!...

What exactly is 'done '? Perhaps they mean that the NHS are getting an Extra £350m a week now?

That we've done some cracking trade deals outside of Europe?

Or, we've now got British workers doing all the jobs those nasty foreigners took from us Brits in hospitality, airports, The NHS, care homes etc?..

FFS!!. There is no one and I mean no one who can give me one positive that Brexshit has given to any of us!

Guest Kopfkino

I wonder if the leadership election might uncover someone that actually has something interesting to say and whether there might be any actual ideas to discuss. I don’t hold out hope looking at the intellectual wet wipes likely to be involved.

Since Corbyn and McDonnell ****ed off there’s nobody prominent in British politics who actually has anything to say, no big picture ideas people. Just psychodrama and people pointing at psychodrama and getting really angry.

It’s why Macron is good. People might not like him but he’s about the only major leader that has anything to actually say.

Just give me a world of Wilson, Thatcher, Brown, people who actually had something to say and project some big picture ideas.

Tobias Ellwood is the best of the bunch... speaks well and is centre/right.

..but he's far too respectable to be considered.
