From a distance and knowing close to nothing of each of the positions of the potential leaders... my view from Oz is that Sunak will win.

He appears the most covered by our media, which is of course who decides who is in power. Puts your $ on Sunak :)

Personal thoughts are that he reaches the final 2 but then loses to whoever he’s up against.

I think the Truss camp knows this, so expect to see a whispering campaign against Mordaunt over the coming days to get her out of the way.

Where will badonach and braverman’s votes go when they’re knocked out ?

they could assemble behind truss and push Mordaunt into third behind sunak.

According to Lord Frost, Mordaunt is useless. That's rich coming from him. What is he playing at!

I’m becoming more and more convinced the right (numbers granted) will end up backing Truss to push their only viable candidate out.

They’re out-Labouring Labour on infighting and self-sabotage at the minute.

The 6 runners (listed below) in the Westminster Handicap Stakes have now finished the race. There's a steward's enquiry, but the result should be known at 3 p.m.

This is all true, and exactly why the party needs a clearout of its right wing.

If they elect truss it will be up there with Hague, Duncan-smith and Howard …… political party memberships simply shouldn’t be allowed to vote in a leader.  They would do better giving it to a polling organisation to sort out!

To be fair to memberships of political parties are going to be inherently weird… I’m sure there’s plenty of normal folk who just want a say in their party of choice, but it’s going to take on a number of obsessive weirdos as well. Goes for all parties.

Yes, I see he has "grave reservations" about Mordaunt.

I've no wish to get involved in Tory domestic disputes, but the only sentence I want to see including the words "Lord Frost" and "grave" is where those terms are divided by the words "has been placed in his".

Of course - suppose it’s a bit like asking the electorate to make a decision on exiting the EU …………

Can't see Tugendhat hanging on, I'll imagine he will fold over the weekend and align with Mordaunt.

He’ll need all his support to go there and not to Sunk though, the right will ultimately all end up with Truss I feel, so she needs his entire support behind her I feel.

Gonna be interesting if that happens. If his supporters get behind Mordaunt and all the right wingers get behind Truss then Sunak might not even make the last 2.
