Less controversy, less rubbing up to journalists, I want an efficient government who aim to rebuild and restructure the health service, make it free to train as a nurse, to change the way that the DWP and home office work. I want a government who will increase the income required to be taxed and who will raise taxes on massive corporations to subsidise this. More affordable housing including social housing, an increased tax on second homes in the UK. Even further I’d give more power to our local regions and attempt to move stuff away from Westminster but that’s unlikely to happen. It doesn't seem like much to ask, but the conservatives are so clueless and out of touch seemingly just make decisions based on staying in power, kowtowing to their key demographics and are just so mired in sleaze. More than anything I want a government that I believe care about this country as a whole make decisions based on creating a fairer and more equal society. I may be misremembering things, but Blair brought a feel good factor to the country, everything just felt better, safer a nicer place to live. As much as policy is important feeling like you're in safe hands and being led rather than lied to at every turn will just give this country a lift.

That would have been a precise answer which hit the spot. I mentioned last week the irony in the construction industry where a lot of people did very well out of Labour from 1997 but I completely against them. The same set of people I encounter now have their children going university which simply didn’t occur before 1997 and love every moment they get to say so-so is off to uni. All he does is whine one about this and that and shows zero leadership qualities, unless i'm missing something I don't think he's been wholly effective as an opposition to the government, but it's a bit of a no win role especially when up against someone with zero morals or integrity. However I think his leadership of the Labour party has been very strong. He dealt with the anti Semitism issue almost immediately. Put Corbyn back in his place and has handled the far left of the party pretty well. I would say his leadership has vastly strengthened the labour party. He also stood up and said he would quit if he were found guilty by Durham police. A bit of honesty and integrity, vital for a good leader and refreshing against what we've seen on the other side of the house. He's certainly got 100 times better leadership qualities than Boris and enough mugs votes him in. Edit - Also, I've said this a million times but it isn't labours job to have policies. They can't do anything as opposition, the best they can try and do is steer the Tory policies. In the run up to the election is when they should have policies, not now. I'm not sure that Boris has many policies either, certainly not good ones that are actually working anyway.
