I have been aware of Led by Donkeys for a while and they seem to do their research and I've never found any inaccuracies in their stuff, but there is an obvious bias. Whereas this video I have no idea about any of these secret lobbying cabals and their influence on the government, but I find it so plausible and it fits my narrative I just believe every word of it.

Amazing how a relatively small number of immigrants get blamed for economic problems which have been caused by progressively incompetent Tory Prime Ministers and their Cabinet cohorts. Yours is a thinly disguised xenophobia shared by those who hate the landscape of their lives being changed by the appearance of 'strange' faces. The problem is that it's in the nature of all animals to preserve their territory, but only humans can voice that insecurity and elaborate it into various threats that aren't resonant with modern, first world societies. These people aren't armies gathering on the French coast with the intention of taking over the country - they're the debris from wars and poverty who see the UK as some kind of sanctuary. Trump stoked up this issue in the States, fomenting hispano-hate to get impoverished poor white people who historically, had been and were being consistently failed by the state. The Brexit lie and the inflation of Johnson as some great statesman was aping Trump - the belief that people would fall for solutions that were obviously complete non-starters. Did the Trump Wall ever get started, even. This government and that of Cameron and Johnson were truly enemies of the people. Patel and Braverman were, at some point, descended from immigrants who were accepted into this country by governments who had a morality sadly lacking in modern senior Conservative politicians. Yet, both have been screaming histrionically about the need to come down hard on those who they view as undesirable. But the rich Russian mafiosi are allowed to ply their trade without even a hint of possible deportation. I'm going on...and on 7
Popular Post RoboFox Posted 19 October 2022 Popular Post Share Posted 19 October 2022 Truss' parents are left-wing right? She grew up left-wing and apparently "converted" to her current alignment. What if - and hear me out, here - Liz Truss is a left-wing sleeper that has been playing a 30-year long game in order to bring down the Tories from within, and is currently enacting zero vote policies? It's the only explanation, surely?

gerblod Posted 19 October 2022 Share Posted 19 October 2022 I'm no economist, but Kwarteng's budget was astonishingly inept. That Truss somehow didn't grade it F- is indicative that she believed an economic recovery could be achieved by such nonsense. Hunt is going back down the austerity cul-de-sac - the Cameron/Hammond dead-end belief that squeezing the poor (and I mean relatively poor) of money will somehow miraculously create a powerhouse economy. This is faux politics - the Tory Party desperately trying to cling to power for its own sake. Which is, in this time of huge need, almost treasonous. 160,000 backwoods and backward Tory Party members are steering this country. The last time a ruling 'elite' showed this much callous disregard for their underlings, there was a nationwide revolt and revolution - where their lands and properties were confiscated and they were executed by the tens of thousands...by guillotine. As much as I'm against physical punishment, I consider a spell in the stocks would bring a lot of these irresponsibles to reflect on where ego takes one.
