Phew well I'm glad it's just another normal food bank and not specifically for health workers. It really is a sign of progress that health workers don't need a specific food bank while the need for more and more general food banks is increasing.

Then perhaps that should have been the story rather than a cheap click headline?

But not on the actual website for the food bank.

As stated it's misreported for cheap headlines. In fairness the Leicester mercury have run the same story, also incorrectly.

The original story was for another trust and it was repeated by MPs, representatives from unions and the RCN. All of which was contradictory to what the food bank said.

Do you have a link, please?

A new footy manager isnt going to get a whole new line up of new players in his team, hes got to have some stability and people with some knowledge  and experience.

Surely this is the same for a new PM?

He's got a slightly bigger squad to chose from though than a football manager.

Thanks, but there's no mention of that food bank in the story? Or anything on that website to contradict the statements made in the story?

Fair enough, there is the first time the story was hashed at other trusts so I assume it's the same again.

There isn't any evidence bar one quote from Claire deeney which is vague in its wording. The food banks already operate in the 3 Leicester hospitals as per the provided link and have always been available to hospital staff if they needed to use them.

Available elsewhere sure, but the story makes clear this one is *specifically* for NHS staff.

Nothing ambiguous about the quote at all. It makes clear it's to support "our colleagues", as in UHL staff.

Was there all this fuss and resentment when Blair handed over to Brown in a deal hatched between the pair. Brown went on to serve as PM for around 3 years!

Yeah comparing Blair standing down and Brown taking over for a decent length of time compared to this sh**show is a reach

Why would they set up a food bank next door to one that operates already and would already supply NHS staff if it was required? One with volunteers and a regular supply of food already?

There was a bit of disgruntlement. The constant PM change’s of recent years is different gravy.Besides Brown should’ve called an election at the earliest possible time.He would’ve won.Smaller majority granted but enough to get him leeway. He bottled it.

Anyway I don’t count anyone as PM until they’ve gone to the Polls.
