Considering these were the ones still loyal to Boris add that to the 40% who voted against him. He's running out of allies fast.
Popular Post BenTheFox Posted 5 July 2022 Popular Post Share Posted 5 July 2022 The thing is, we all hold differing political opinions and ideologies. That isn't the issue here. The disrespect and contempt that this government and particularly the prime minister have towards the people of this country is completely unacceptable. We should all be embarrassed to have them representing us and we should all demand better, no matter where you are on the political spectrum.

I keep up with the news alot, but stay out of politics. On here and in life. The last few years have been a shambles, but probably still better than if the opposition got in at the last general election. Boris needs to fvck off, but we should be thankful that he beat Corbyn.

I hate the fact we have to listen to Rees-Mogg, Dorries, Raab, Truss. Popular Post Nod.E Posted 5 July 2022 Popular Post Share Posted 5 July 2022 Anyone still defending this lot, at least just accept at this point that you're wedded to your party, whatever they do. You support them like they're your football team. You want them to succeed, not because it benefits you or your country, but because they're 'your side', and their success means that you're right. It's literally impossible not to admit that at this stage. What is worse than this? It is totally unimaginable that anybody else could do a worse job. So when you accept that, accept that you've bought into a cult. Accept that your judgement is clouded. The first step of healing is realising the problem. Don't let pride get in the way of recognising that you've been misled. The conservatives are very clever people in some respects, they can be very persuasive, and they have the means and channels to mislead, too. This coming from someone who voted Tory aged 18. For a second forget about the fact you're Tory and 'they' are something else. Is the idea of blinkered, cult following not a scary concept? Unchallenged power leads to abuse of power. On a low level that's ridiculous fuel prices with little to no challenge. 10/20/30 years down the track? War. Thankfully it feels like the tide is turning and people are seeing sense, but without even having read this thread I know there are still people that need to read this. Scary, scary people. I'd know, my own family is full of them.
