We have shown spine this season, especially in Europe, but the midfield three we are playing right now is so stale in possession. We barely looked like scoring so always were at risk of a sucker punch like this.

 

Change the system, even if that means dropping a big name.

Exactly. First half of the season it was conceding from literally every f king corner. Now it’s conceding in injury time. It’s f king pathetic. He’s such an arrogant sod he never learns from his mistakes.

I thought we were good first 25 mins, then from around 55-60 - 80 mins we were very good again and should have scored another one or two. The last 10 minutes was pretty predictable and I get that teams take risks and there might be a bombardment but we make it very easy for them.

 

That front 3 just isn't dynamic enough to create enough sustained openings and chances as it is doing. In patches it works but tonight Iheanacho was awful and Barnes was pretty anonymous. Daka looked a bit better and Maddison was the one who played well but can't do it all on his own.
