He brought amartey on to help defend set plays late on ……….

who said we wouldn’t concede added time goals with evans at the back ?  He abandoned his post to go cover the cross when he didn’t have to

awful defending  all round

Literally about 60% of Rodgers subs end up costing us the game, it’s nearly always the player he brings on that makes a mistake or is out of position lol

Funny how we pass it around for 90% of the game with some ease, but as soon as stoppage time approaches we just absolutely shit ourselves lol

All we had to do was keep the ball. The game management of this side is terrible. The resolve to battle and keep the ball out of danger is just not there.

Worked every time he did it up to this season, since then it's been very mixed. I thought he'd learnt his lesson but obviously Sunday has convinced him to go back to it tonight.

Problem is it doesn't matter what he does we concede.

They were the worst team I have seen this season and we caved in again. We have learnt nothing.

If I was playing us I would do exactly what Lampard did and put on a lump like Rondon as Brendan will automatically sacrifice his midfield and stick on a 3rd CB. The cnut does it time and time again.

It’s the mental side of it as well. We need to find a way to see games out. Teams know they can put us under pressure late on and we’ll be fearing the worst.

I was worried before the game that Everton might be up for it and cause us problems.

They may have been up for it, but they're shit and its a sad state of affairs we weren't brave enough to go for the jugular.

I agree with earlier comments - yes Rodgers is a good manager, but this mental fragility and lack of nous to see out/dominate games comes from him.

I still can't understand why every fan watching can see Youri is firstly out of form, but secondly looking tired at the start of games, let alone 70 mins in and we never rest him/take him off.

What are the sports scientists doing or is Brendan ignoring them?

Also congrats to Yerry Mina for his effort tonight; I thought it would be impossible for anyone playing to get near to Richarlison levels of tosser but he gave it a go,

29 points thrown away from winning positions. 29.

That's almost enough to keep a team up.

29 points puts us 3rd, 15 puts us 5/6th.

Absolutely no spine to this team whatsoever.

This summer we need a clear out, bring in those who want to fight to win.

This stat has a bit more oomph if you look at points thrown away in the last 15-20 mins. I think anything before that is inevitable that teams won't always hold on to games they've taken the lead in but you really shouldn't throw away points in the closing minutes and we've done that 5 or 6 times in 2022 alone (Spurs, Brighton, West Ham, Newcastle, Everton)

Meh. I've tried typing 3 different reactions but the truth is I don't know what to think. Players playing awfully for 90 minutes twice a week, or running themselves into the ground for 90 minutes twice a week. Others, playing well, get subbed early when seemingly they have fuel in the tank and at least some grip of the game.

Time and time again, the subs made do nothing and just look lost when coming on.

Trying to think of the last time we looked comfortable in a league game and killed it off.

He won't go, obviously. But he can for me, especially if we go out in the ECL.
