Story of our season, boring sideways rubbish that Rodgers is still happy with.

You can guarantee every game now the way we play, we must be the easiest team to defend against.

Spot on.

Every team now knows the blueprint for playing Leicester, especially at the King Power: let them have the ball as they move it slowly from side to side (it’s what they do, silencing their own crowd in the process), defend en masse, tightly mark their one isolated striker, stay organised, wait for the misplaced pass or the mistake and hit them on the break, possibly winning a set piece, which they struggle to defend.

Does Rodgers seriously not know how predictable we have become? Jose Mourinho will be licking his lips…

Before today we had won 10 out of 14 games at home so obviously that (very politely) is incorrect

You say it’s ‘obviously incorrect’ but since West Ham set that blueprint with their 3-0 win at the King Power in October 2020 our home record in the Premier League is W16 D5 L13.

Yes, we’ve won less than half of those games and lost 13! That is a dreadful record for a club with aspirations of qualifying for Europe.

One of the worst games I’ve ever witnessed and even contemplated leaving early. Both teams cancelled each other out. Neither team could get into any rhythm because the referee thought the game was about him.

Let’s be honest it feels like we are carrying Tielemans at the moment let’s also get rid of a Ndidi who is too one dimensional . He’s not mobile enough and can’t pass too well.keep playing Mandy and get a more box the box midfield in as well then will have the mobile midfield we need to pay the system we are trying to play.

This is the thing... yet Rodgers thinks it is progress.

Can you see where this is going.  Top needs to act asap

The modus operandi (or whatever the latin for "stuff to achieve" is) for any manager of this club is for us to compete at the top end of the table and regularly challenge for European places. The two previous seasons he's done that. This season because of injuries it's not gonna be that way but the focus is the Cup Winners Conference Cup. If we don't win that, next season we have no european games to affect us mentally, physically or injury-wise. At that point, Rodgers has absolutely nowhere to hide. If he gets off to a bad start like this season, he won't make it to Christmas. With Tv payments paying off the ground extension and European qualification needed to attract better players, he'll be under huge pressure to get it right.

.....as Rodgers does not want to play Ndidi in the way the player wishes to play, then I agree we should be looking to sell him!!!

He is never going to be able to be good enough, on the ball for what Rodgers needs his DM to be. So long as he can find a team that allows him to be a destroyer and give it simple to his colleagues, he will be fine. If they can coach him up to be better on the ball, then they will have a great player at their club.

We are looking to be technically excellent all the way through our team, technical excellence is all very well, we also need to be brave on the ball, and in what we do, we struggle to have a spine in this team.

reckon Ndidi will go to Man United. He’s a class CDM, but not how we want to play.

It was a poor poor game but I thought the team selection given the circumstances and the set up were fine. Subs were ok. The players just weren’t quite on it  today especially on the offensive movement. We seemed to lack urgency and the invention we have been showing at our best recently. Positives - no injuries reported and a clean sheet. Put it behind us and look forward to Thursday.

We play our best when we show urgency and play positively even if we lose the ball at times.

In recent games, Rodgers went back to his good oldself and started criticising his team for being adventurous (ie. in his mind not keeping the ball and controlling the game). This as we have seen over and over again actually result in ironically the team not doing anything productive with the ball and in fact we lose it more often then when we are being “adventurous” because the fear Rodgers had instilled means that the players are too conservative and are often panicked into making random long balls upfield. It is happening too often.

I thought Rodgers learnt his lesson and he needs to overcome it.
