Looks a good read. I remember my first football boots were called "Arthur Rowley Hotshots" purchased from Sports on Belvoir Street in town in the early 1960's. My Dad used to watch Arthur from the Filbert Street/Popular side corner and said he had a terrific shot. I think he had a nickname "The Gunner".

he was indeed nicknames The Gunner...as was his older brother Jack at Man United!!
