I, for one, appreciated the laid-back continental class that Vicente Iborra brought to the squad.

Yeah you could probably make a case for Iborra, he certainly had some excellent games in the early Puel days such as the Spurs at home win.

However he never really settled it would be equally as fair to say he was nowhere near consistent enough to be considered a success.

At least with Iborra though we recouped a lot of what we paid for him.

One positive irrelevant of the success of the 3 players at least we target the right positions and actual brought round pegs for round holes.

It the past we few years we have brought in RBs to play LB and LW to play RW.

Hope we are going to look more balanced.

And with Maddison and KDH back + Ricardo soon it's like we've 6 new players from this vulgar run we've been on.

Definitely and hopefully follow by Soumare and Evans.

We seem to have slipped back into old habits of the first 7 games, awful individual errors and dreadful finishing.

Whilst not playing well, we could have easily have pick up points from Liverpool, Forest and Fulham.

I hope Tete is half as good as you say he is.

I'm excited to see him, Barnes and Maddison together.

I really hope with those two in the side it takes some pressure of Barnes.

Keep dream about us finishing in the top 10 and winning the FA Cup.

Ignore the ages, he's bought 'Leaders', especially Kristiansen and Tete, their mentality looks terrific. Fully understands what we need, unlike Congerton....If only he had been here 2-3 years earlier.

5-6 players in the Summer of a similar fashion, Mendy/Bertrand/Vestergaard and Thomas (Loan) out, and we could genuinely return to challenging the Top 8.

Anyone else a bit concerned that we’ve got Glover in, the man that’s wasted £140 at Southampton, the man their fans blame for their demise!

I know we're in a cost of living crisis, but £140 isn't that much money tbf for a football club

He wasn't in the job when they spent that money so no, not unduly. Their head of recruitment over the summer was Joe Shields who has since left for Chelsea.

Bloody hope he’s good at his job as he’s got a massive role to play over the summer. Our squad needs transforming from a bunch of nice and tidy footballers to a bunch of fighters with the mentality for a tough season in the Championship. Given the expected exodus we’ll be looking at around 8-9 (bargain) signings and loans with probably 5 of them starting next season. No pressure!

We're a bit ****ed here aren't we.

Our head of recruitment assembled the Southampton squad that finished rock bottom this season and oversaw three signings in January who haven't been able to get into this shower of shit on a regular basis! Now we're expecting him to build a side capable of promotion when he's successfully helped relegate two sides in one season.

Another reason why Rudkin should get the bullet.
