This just shows what a crap job Rodgers did that he couldn't secure top 4 with the players at his disposal yet Eddie Howe can with a vastly inferior squad.

I think we were slightly better but a vastly inferior squad is a bit of an exaggeration.

Not defending Brendan,  as I despise the bloke for what he's done to my club

And he got tonnes of grief on here when he went there.

Cream rises.

I never did, I said it was a good appointment. He took Bournemouth from nowhere to somewhere and yeah I’m surprised to be honest he has been a genius; like in terms of where he has this Newcastle side now. I thought top ten at best

Newcastle sure enough have joined the big 6 or 6 1/2 when Joelinton does more than 8 fouls without being carded

Should be us, we win PL and FA Cup when did Spurs last win either? A 100m training centre and stadium expansion approved… how are we in this mess

Celebrating like they have got  Champions league football already ?

Might take their foot off the gas Monday .

Here’s hoping. They’re alright for another week anyway. They can lose one game.

If Liverpool don't win, Newcastle virtually have secured Champions league. Gives us our best chance of beating them if they're on the beach!!!

they may be on the beach but we’ll be in effin quicksand.

They could take their foot off the gas, apply the brake, stop, turn off the engine and get out of the car and we’d still find a way to lose.

My mates a massive Newcastle fan, said you can feel it round the city now. If Liverpool slip up Saturday he reckons the whole place will be hungover going into our match Monday.

The fans might be but how many of the players will do what our lot did in 2014?  Very few

You’re forgetting them playing their C team on Sunday against Leeds

guarantee they play a weaker team v Leeds tha against us

Doubt it, they'll want to avoid the possibility of a winner takes all v us.

They will go all out to beat Leeds.

Everton lose to wolves. Everton fail to beat Bournemouth

Leeds fail to beat either West ham or spurs

We beat hammers.

We stay up.

Or..

We draw with toon and beat hammers.

Arsenal and palace beat forest

Leeds fail to get 4 points from West ham and spurs

We stay up

As long as everton don't win both, and forest get a win
