Howe took Newcastle from relegation fodder to the CL in one season.

A lot of those players after the relegation scare are still in the 11.

Whislt I think he's done job.

You are sort of glossing over the 280m they have spent in the last 3 windows and the massive wages they are paying.

I always wondered why programmes (such as BT Sport Score) are popular, why am I watching footage of someone watching the game and adding the odd random noise when they score whilst not being able to see the game itself?

To be fair Wolves are pretty shite even full strength so don't see it making much difference. Even we beat them for christ's sake

Only Man City have a better home record since the new year. So they’ve actually been excellent. Unlike us, who shit ourselves at home every week.

Just makes our result at theirs seem all the more frustrating. We have the capability to be so much better than we have been. Imagine if we'd binned Rodgers before the World Cup and appointed De Zerbi or Emery.

Name a manager this season who has done better apart from pep?

Zerbi and Frank Thomas on a limited budget....... Newcastle players probably got millions waiting for them in Saudi banks accounts where the authorities date not to look, that's why even their average players seem up for ever game

Just heard on Five Live the last team to be relegated on goal difference was Reading in 2008!

I mean, it's about time that changed but we're grasping at straws with GD being a plus point for us!

Everton creating chances.

Calvert Lewin returning has transformed their threat going forward. If he had been injured until the end of the season they'd be going down.

Having a target man is useful.

What was it Brendan said about not needing a plan B?

Difference with Calvert Lewin is he is a target man who is also very mobile. Technically he isn't particularly fantastic but he keeps defenders honest physically, and with his movement.

be shocked if it goes to the last day tbf, fully expect us to be down by the last day

I am expecting Everton to beat Wolves

So then relegation will be confirmed at full time when we have lost against Newcastle

de zerbi and Emery were already both in place by late October. at the start of the season though, 100%. Could also have probably gotten Slot, Marcelino or Sérgio Conceição at that point

He should have gone after the results at Brighton and Spurs and both managers would have been available.

But yeah, any one of those would have seen us back to a top 10 side. Fischer from Union Berlin as well.
